Preliminary renders for a rackable 1.5MH/s unit.

It will feature four Scriptor 8X units mounted on a motherboard. The motherboard will also host an USB hub and a Raspberry Pi as controller.

At current price levels, these units take almost two years to ROI.  Just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for the heads up Mattzees...I was too lazy to crunch the numbers for myself.   :P

I agree about the ROI! but playing a bit with an FPGA must be good fun!

Agreed...but all my "fun" money is used up on my GPU miner and some BTC/LTC holdings on exchanges...basically tapped out.

One month did pass since we started this endeavor and me and my people would like to thank to Our Team which invested in us. We will post a longer post on ltcgear.com, but in the end, remember that we love you and we are working for best interest of us and you..  8)

The website says the x8 boards ship November 20th, that can't be can it? If it is, I want to buy up 20 units, possibly double that. My only doubts are lack of contact information, business info etc...

On a side note, I am a developer myself and am very interested in helping out with development.

Testing 4U racks + 5 Scriptor 8X Light + cgminer
http://vimeo.com/79146385

You can download cgminer for Scriptor  from ltcgear.com
To my knowledge is the first public cgminer source wich does scrypt and not uses opencl or cpu (quite a frankenstein hack - sorry, I didn't have much time for it)

It will need bootloader updater and latest firmware for MCU. Will upload those tomorrow. I will have to start a wiki, but our server is already puffing and host provider didn't answer yet about upgrade solution..

New support page added:
http://ltcgear.com/scriptor-software/

Those who got units, reprogram MCU with latest firmware then use either win32 or linux x86 moded cgminer. You will need to shortcut those two pins when applying power to enter boot mode (units with bootloader version 1.1 and firmware 1.2 can enter via software python script).

Hi Beekeeper,

I had a look at your site and was wandering about hash rate of Scriptor 8x.
Description states that :  250 kH/s from basic firmware / 350kHs overclocked (less kH / Watt)

But when I look at your latest video hash rate is only 75 Kh/s per one Scriptor 8x.

Can you explain it to me please ?
(I might have missed something)
