In the mean time, I've made a PHP script on one of my VPS to proxy for your Custom API to (authenticated, full access) Cryptsy API, and integrate the balances. It works well but the only pain is that I have to go separately for each currency.
That's great! A few other users do the same thing. I've thought about making a standalone "connector" to provide access to insecure APIs that people can install locally, to do this exact thing (but with an easier interface). I've also got another idea which requires more investigation.
Ripple support, what's the status?
I couldn't find a block explorer or a way to get address balances (I'm not super experienced with Ripple so I'm not even sure if this is possible). I couldn't add Bitstamp prices because they don't have a XRP/BTC API. I've added XRP/BTC through Justcoin. Any other suggestions?
PPC balances is down but the whole explorer is down... I tried to make a new API with Abe but the BerkleyDB isn't binary-compatible with the one of Bitcoin or at least Abe doesn't swallow the chain. I also tried with an RPC-basic get block thing but it's not the same JSON output format etc... a pain
Yeah. In the future we want to add our own explorers
for this very reason. A lot of work and resources though (would be easier for people operating mining pools).
NMC address balances, why no support for this? I can get it simply using Custom API with a simple URL like http://18.104.22.168/chain/Namecoin/q/addressbalance/<NMC_ADDR> so why don't you integrate it just like the other currencies? Maybe you should talk to the guy for the API. I have managed to create my own blockchain database for NMC, too, but I don't want to pay the high costs for the VPS if it's already existing somewhere else
I hadn't seen that API/explorer before. If it's still up at the next update we'll add it for NMC addresses. Thanks for pointing it out!
Why is the MAXCHAR so limited for the URL for Custom API
Easy fix - increased to 255 characters.
I really like the concept of CryptFolio. Keep up the good work ;-)
Thanks! We're glad it's useful to other people, and would like to continue the good work regularly far into the future
