Thanks! And yes, we'll add Cryptsy support as soon as we can - we've asked a couple of times for a read-only API but our requests have been ignored so far.

Yes, I have noticed that too. No read-only API for balances, how sad, that would be easy.

In the mean time, I've made a PHP script on one of my VPS to proxy for your Custom API to (authenticated, full access) Cryptsy API, and integrate the balances. It works well but the only pain is that I have to go separately for each currency.

Ah, and a couple more details.

  • Ripple support, what's the status?
  • PPC balances is down but the whole explorer is down... I tried to make a new API with Abe but the BerkleyDB isn't binary-compatible with the one of Bitcoin or at least Abe doesn't swallow the chain. I also tried with an RPC-basic get block thing but it's not the same JSON output format etc... a pain
  • NMC address balances, why no support for this? I can get it simply using Custom API with a simple URL like http://192.241.222.65/chain/Namecoin/q/addressbalance/<NMC_ADDR> so why don't you integrate it just like the other currencies? Maybe you should talk to the guy for the API. I have managed to create my own blockchain database for NMC, too, but I don't want to pay the high costs for the VPS if it's already existing somewhere else
  • Why is the MAXCHAR so limited for the URL for Custom API :o
  • I really like the concept of CryptFolio. Keep up the good work ;-)

In the mean time, I've made a PHP script on one of my VPS to proxy for your Custom API to (authenticated, full access) Cryptsy API, and integrate the balances. It works well but the only pain is that I have to go separately for each currency.

That's great! A few other users do the same thing. I've thought about making a standalone "connector" to provide access to insecure APIs that people can install locally, to do this exact thing (but with an easier interface). I've also got another idea which requires more investigation.

Ripple support, what's the status?

I couldn't find a block explorer or a way to get address balances (I'm not super experienced with Ripple so I'm not even sure if this is possible). I couldn't add Bitstamp prices because they don't have a XRP/BTC API. I've added XRP/BTC through Justcoin. Any other suggestions?

PPC balances is down but the whole explorer is down... I tried to make a new API with Abe but the BerkleyDB isn't binary-compatible with the one of Bitcoin or at least Abe doesn't swallow the chain. Yeah. In the future we want to add our own explorers for this very reason. A lot of work and resources though (would be easier for people operating mining pools).

NMC address balances, why no support for this? I can get it simply using Custom API with a simple URL like http://192.241.222.65/chain/Namecoin/q/addressbalance/<NMC_ADDR> so why don't you integrate it just like the other currencies? Maybe you should talk to the guy for the API. I have managed to create my own blockchain database for NMC, too, but I don't want to pay the high costs for the VPS if it's already existing somewhere else

I hadn't seen that API/explorer before. If it's still up at the next update we'll add it for NMC addresses. Thanks for pointing it out!

Why is the MAXCHAR so limited for the URL for Custom API :o

Easy fix - increased to 255 characters.

I really like the concept of CryptFolio. Keep up the good work ;-)

Thanks! We're glad it's useful to other people, and would like to continue the good work regularly far into the future :)

Today we're releasing 0.21, which adds password login. Over the last week we've been upgrading our servers and purchasing a third server to make everything much faster. This release has also involved a rewrite of the project build scripts and tests, so we can prepare for adding some great features in the future.

  • Added support for e-mail/password signup and login
  • Upgraded all servers and purchased a third server
  • Openclerk now uses Grunt for its build, uses SASS rather than CSS, and supports site extensions natively
  • Fixed ypool.net accounts
  • Fixed Terracoin and Novacoin addresses not updating
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements

If you have had issues with your existing Bitstamp accounts no longer working in CryptFolio, please note that Bitstamp revoked all API keys due to Heartbleed and you will have to add your Bitstamp accounts again.

We've had a few people requesting this feature, but it's well outside the scope of a free website :P, and we wouldn't be able to host it on CryptFolio as it would be unsafe. If you'd like to sponsor the development of a trading bot on your own server, get in touch.

Today we're releasing 0.22, which adds some really exciting features: market price averages (for all supported currency pairs), the start of a new major feature through Your Transactions; and better user interfaces.

Market Price Averages

  • Added market price averages for every supported currency pair, from every currently supported exchange:
  • These market price averages can also be used for your summary calculations; more exchanges will be added in the future to provide better data
  • For example, USD/BTC, BTC/LTC, BTC/NMC, ...

Your Transactions

  • Automatically generate historical daily transactions for all of your accounts, mining pools, and addresses
  • You can enable or disable automatic transaction generation per account, or regenerate historical transactions at any time
  • This feature is still under development, so there may be some weird issues - please let us know
  • In the future, you will be able to edit, delete or create individual transactions, and export these to CSV

Interface improvements

  • Your accounts can now be disabled through your wizards, to preserve historical data for dead accounts
  • You will now be notified when your graphs may be out of date due to recently added or removed accounts:
  • Added more graph sizes: "Huge" (880px) and "Massive" (1100px)

Other changes

  • Added Kraken exchange support
  • Added South Korean won (KRW) fiat currency support
  • Fixed a bug where deleting an account would not delete historical hashrate data
  • Added RapidHash DOGE, RapidHash VTC and Cryptotroll DOGE mining pools
  • Fixed DGC and WDC addresses to use new CCE3 interface
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements
