Allow attachments?
« on: January 22, 2016, 11:48:42 AM »
There is probably a good reason for this, but why doesn't this forum allow attachments?
It's quite annoying to use external image services to embed pictures in posts.

Security wise you could only allow .gif/.png/.jpg as attachment.
If storage is a problem, you could limit this option to certain user groups, or maybe on request (users can request acces to a group that allows attachments).
This is all default SMF stuff.

Bad idea, people would upload trjoans as .jpeg and compromise the server.

Oh ok... I never heard that this could be a problem.
So simplemachines.org is vulnerable? (they allow attachments).
