Strange LTC tx problem
« on: January 11, 2016, 11:39:08 AM »
Hi , If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I sent 149ltc from Bitfinex to Btce.  I did so before many times, using the same adress. Never had an issue. So this time transaction is stuck at 0 confirmations according to http://ltc.block-explorer.com/ , But according to OKcoins explorer http://block.oklink.com/ltc/ , the tx has over 270 confirmations at this moment. And in the https://live.blockcypher.com/ltc when I refresh the page with F5 , tx has sometimes 0 and sometimes 6+ confirmations, as it is reading it wrong... Tried to send 0.1ltc from Finex to Btce after this but that got stuck too. Also tried 0.1ltc from Bittrex to Btce and it confirmed no problem.

Can someone help me and direct me what can I do? I wrote a ticket to Bitfinex , they said it has been sent.

Tx id is dba7e18fab31cb4841f6306828a9f2dff25e227af74678b13644ae204a196348

Your transactions have zero confirmations.

This is probably because the fee set is too low. Your coins will be returned to the address that sent the coins, and you will be able to withdraw the coins later.

OK thanks. So they will show up eventually in my account on Bitfinex? But for every tx Bitfinex pays "Fees:   0.001 LTC". So this issue is not because of that.

I think that Bitfinex uses something like electrum for payouts (electrum's fee estimate is broken) and this is constant at 0.001LTC for all transactions.
When the fee is too low the network will send back the coins after a while.

This is most likely related to the new Litecoin Core release. I believe it caused a hard fork?

The block explorer I run, runs on 0.10.4 and cannot see your transaction, meaning it has 0 confirms on the current network: http://explorer.litecoin.net/search?q=dba7e18fab31cb4841f6306828a9f2dff25e227af74678b13644ae204a196348

BitFinex most likely needs to update their Litecoin software. Everyone on this forum seems to be having issues with coins sent from them, I assume they're being sent onto the old network. If they update to the new Litecoin client, those transactions may not even exist, and they could return everyones money.

It was double spend error caused by their wallet. Wallet sent two transactions that equaled 1300ltc out of 650ltc balance in their wallet at that time. I was not the only case that day. They were very helpful and professional via email and yesterday they sent HUGE transactions to cover their users. They sent every cent I was short... Have they been contacted about the upgrade of LTC core ?
