How to get wallet address in Linux console?
« on: November 18, 2015, 09:07:35 AM »
Hi!

I get official Litecoin software for Linux. In litecoin.conf I set RPC login-password and running daemon litecoind. In ~/.litecoin directory automatic create many files, and i see file wallet.dat with 94208 byte size.

Question: Now, how to get wallet address?

I try next commands:

Code: [Select]
$ ./litecoin-cli getinfo
{
    "version" : 100202,
    "protocolversion" : 70003,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 842388,
    "timeoffset" : 252,
    "connections" : 8,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 41781.63861704,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1447756675,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "relayfee" : 0.00100000,
    "errors" : ""
}

$ ./litecoin-cli getwalletinfo
{
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "txcount" : 0,
    "keypoololdest" : 1447756675,
    "keypoolsize" : 101
}

$ ./litecoin-cli listaccounts
{
    "" : 0.00000000
}

$ ./litecoin-cli listaddressgroupings
[
]

As you see, in this output Litecoin address not present.

First you must generate an address.

Code: [Select]
./litecoin-cli getnewaddress
Then typing the code below will give your balance.

Code: [Select]
./litecoin-cli listreceivedbyaddress 0 trueOR
Code: [Select]
./litecoin-cli listaccounts
