Search for hyip and what it means.

A high-yield investment program (HYIP) is a type of Ponzi scheme, an investment scam that promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors. Most of these scams work from anonymous offshore bases which make them hard to track down.

Reminds me of that scam site bitcoin-trader.biz.  Asshats there claimed to have been hacked and had all the coins "stolen".  Also has the same stink that btc-arbs.com has...both were similar business models to what this site claims.

Seems like 99% of crypto business end up closing shop:

1. Hacked/coins stolen
2. Poorly run but legit
3. Straight up scam

Going forward I never spend any time/calories on crypto businesses unless I can find real tangible information about their operations.  Are they formally registered with the government as a business?  Are the owners well known/established in the industry?  What's the overall credibility look like?  Do they have any legit backers?  Do they have a verifiable track record of doing good/honest business?  Etc.

Wow!  That's spectacularly incompetent when it comes to scams!  I mean if you're going to rob me, do me the courtesy of doing a decent job of it.  Talk about lazy.

My opinion of LTC Gear is that it falls into #2 from my above post ("Poorly run but legit").

Sad but true.  Which is why I've given up on cloud mining, investment sites, etc.  I'm strictly a buy'em-and-hold'em kinda guy!  I've got small (~$10USD each) buys setup for a few coins I like and I think of it as forgoing a beer or two for the sake of buying a keg later.  :P
