I have a bunch of LTC locked away until 2020.  No specific sell order for it.

What would you do if tomorrow it went up to 100$ each then started to slowly decline?

If people didnt sell at $40 when they bought at $1 then they wont sell at $100 when they bought at $2.50

It depends on your expectations after it hits 40 or 100.

I doubt many people expected it to drop to 1$ after hitting $48.

I'm sure more people will sell off some of their holdings this time around.

Same thing I did when the price went up to $50 and slowly started to decline.  ???

Same here. I first bought LTC at the very end of 2012. Litecoin was about $0.07 each at that point and Ive held ever since. I only wish I would have gambled with more than just $80 then, however I still look at it as an $80 investment and I have no plans to sell for quite some time. In fact I have been slowly but steadily buying more during the lows ever since.

When the price hit .028/.029 last night I thought I might try and sell 100LTC for BTC @ .030 (playing the market isnt something I ever do) but after opening my wallet, the computer froze and once restarted I had to reindex the blockchain. Knowing it would take time I just went to bed and woke up to .021 and now .018....  ::) just my luck.

You have to consider your personal level of risk.
Many investors will talk about diversification.
Consider all your investments as a small tree which is constantly growing.
When you ask yourself, shall I sell today or in 10 years? Think about how your tree will grow if it was planted in a field with sunshine and good soil, as opposed to if it was planted in a barren waste land.
I never knew beethoven personally but he made some good music.
