Hi all,

CPIF/Cipher Investments has been running for a while and we are considering our options for moving forward and we would like to hear from you. Is there anything that you would like us to add or improve on?

Thanks,

Hi cpif_admin,

CPIF is a simple product with as clear value proposition. I know the urge to try different things every now and then, but please keep CPIF and anything you might come up with in separate assets. CPIF is fine the way it is right now :) Well, besides the still kinda unclear LCI situation where it can still be traded.

Please add graphs of the NAV price.  Its hard to go back through all the updates and try and track the changes

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

One problem CPIF currently has is that the mechanism of buying shares via XCP isn't great. What we propose is that someone wanting to buy into the fund rather ask us for a BTC price per share (which will be at the NAV/Unit), send us the BTC and we'll send them the shares. This way XCP isn't needed and users can buy in very close to the current NAV/Unit. This also holds for someone wanting to get out of CPIF.

Hi,

We would like to get some feedback on changing CPIF to a non dividend paying fund. Unit holders will then have to exchange their units for funds instead of regular dividend payouts. This will allow for much better growth as currently the effect of compounding is limited (since all gains are paid out).

Let us know what you think.

Hi,

Currently CPIF pays a monthly dividend equal to the amount of interest received on its funds. We are proposing that CPIF reinvests this on behalf of its unit holders. This will allow the NAV per Unit to grow instead of resetting each month after a dividend payout. That is, each Unit will become more valuable over time.

In order for a Unit holder to realise any gains, he/she would then have to exchange CPIF Units for BTC.

Please let us know if anything is unclear or if this would not be a desired change.

Regards,
cpif_admin

I would rather not get a dividend and have it re-invested automatically (i.e. let the NAV grow).  It is so easy to get money out of this fund now, that there is no risk of getting your funds "locked up" in it
