Are many people here familiar with Bandcamp? http://bandcamp.com/

Its a great outlet for indepedently released music, from individual artists, and small labels etc

I have a few friends that use it for their output, there are fees involved but as far as i know it cuts out the middle men that are big labels and itunes etc and gives more money to those who deserve it.

There is also a ton of free/name your price music on there, some from unknown artists looking to get heard, and some from well known artists hoping that a freebie will make you consider a future purchase.

A great site IMO, get discoverin'!

I have never heard of bandcamp...I wonder if they got their name from the American Pie movie...  "This one time...at band camp..."

Been listening to this all day. I died of laughter when my apprentice showed me this. I completely understand if no-one understands why this clip is so humorous. (unless you are from straya Melbourne then you have no excuses.)

Holy shit, that was funny!

I'm listening to this right now

Hardwell is pretty hot right now.   If you are into house music R3hab is on the rise... there is also this young dj kid Danny Avila who is definitely an up and comer.

For live sets, the sickest sets are always done by Bingo Players.

Unfortunately I am being subjected to chart radio on the site I am managing. I could tell them to turn it off but they might revolt!
