Know most of passphrase, client wont take it
« on: March 31, 2014, 12:59:24 AM »
Hello,

Yes, I'm sure you've heard this story before.

I wrote down my passphrase, but I must have typed in one letter wrong (or something). Is there any way to brute force it, if you know most of it? Probably like a messed up shift key or something.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

My pass phrases are groups of words like between 10 and 20 random words.  Is yours words or just a random string of characters?
Also what program are you talking about?  The LTC client?  What operating system are you using?

Just found this link, I don't know if it's legit or not?
