These transactions are small, but I am working on delivering on what I talked with Coblee about at the conference:

services that when used, pay the devs automatically.

I want to provide a stream of income to support the coin that will be ongoing and automated.

The first service is simple and in beta, not ready to be announced, but it seems it is generating automatic contributions already, and will do so I hope much more when it goes live.

Here is a sample from beta test today, but there could be 100 or even a thousand of these small contributions per day depending on if the service is used, and as my network of services grows:

150731aefdd0dacff3dedd2b31cce6a54e7de0bbdd4f267666204073456bd673 - 0.002 LTC

143232a717a62963d78721b9af3c31b2102a8c9a91752ab22edbd207ff260b9d - 0.001 LTC

735e8ce585449b8232c15fca1378eaeec1c12af1dc59a4526b7d1e900f7e7556 - 0.001 LTC

1678563b8451c97d9d280053ac459f41d45132cc5482b319216bf6e5defffe6c - 0.002 LTC

9d495959b9e1abe48c2f28425f5d391756a0fb3456de6324414bf3b0e9eaba9e - 0.002 LTC

Essentially I am following through on a commitment I made to Coblee, to create a "overriding royalty interest" in Litecoin services that automatically fund the developers.  As my network of services grow, and we get out of more beta, and into hard launches, it is possible for you to get a slice of the revenue from every single transaction.

Why is there not one project, the whole crypto-currency community can profit from?

And where is the innovation? ("Great devs" ...)

This is all basic infrastructure stuff, that get done for free by volunteers at most coins.

And there is not even something that is unique to Litecoin (no Unique selling proposition).
All coins have or get Android wallets, thin wallets, web sites and documentation.
This wont help LTC in the competition with other coins, esp. vs. the ones with superior features (like more ASIC-resitant PoW or Privacy Features ...).

If that's all for 2014 it's pretty lame.

But good luck.

And bla bla bla bla bla, I know you guys are happy because of the Electrum port and an Android wallet, because you wait since 2,5 years and only have the slow and fat Litecoin-QT client. But realistic assessments should be allowed to post. The crypto-currency world is moving fast and is not wating for Litecoin.

Once again good luck.

How about making a donation?  How about helping instead of complaining?  Why don't you code something or pay for it to be coded?  It is not done for "free" at most coins - it is done by the original devs getting huge premines that they then dump on people for millions.

Litecoin had no pre-mine.
Litecoin had a forum countdown before mining started and everyone was equally able to set up their miners to start at the same time.
The Litecoin developers have NO pre-mines to draw from.  Warren did not start working on the coin until spring 2013, some of our team did not start until 2014.
Since Litecoin is fairest coin and had the fairest launch, the community is more active in support.
One place I would agree is that the super early miners and exchanges/businesses need to donate more. BTCChina has started this trend by giving 1000 LTC.

Your signature says "in DOGE you trust" - do you understand that without Litecoin there would be no DOGE?  Do you know that DOGE copied Litecoin and just stuck a MEME on it?  What is "DOGE" fundamentally offering?

This is my problem with DOGE - the Litecoin community respects Bitcoin, and honors Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is our older brother.

The DOGE community is instead openly HOSTILE to Litecoin, and does not show the respect they owe their older brother.  Why don't you become the change you are looking for and make a donation to Litecoin?

You could match the two I just made!

I don't donate to a community that berates me everyday as "idiot", "asshole", "shitcoiner", "DOGE retard", "dumb as fuck", "stupid bag holder", "stupid kid" and so on.

I had respect for LTC 2 years ago, it's gone.

I still "donate" with my hard but fair comments. What I strongly suggest is, to develope new product and marketing concept & strategy.

Litecoins needs an Manifesto (or mission statement) that guide the actions of the project and future of the coin.
By spelling out its overall goal, provide a path, and for guide decision-making. As framework on how to formalize the developement process, as coin and eco-system. Defining a goal for what LTC wants to do for the world.

Components
Key market: Who is LTCs target user base/nice?
Contribution: What in the real-world important features or service (levels) can LTC provide vs. other coins?
Distinction: What makes your product or service unique, so that the client would choose you?

That is needed sooo much. No one knows what LTC stands for or is targeting to be. Just the argument "of being the backup to bitcoin" it not enough for me to support LTC. (And this is shared by most of the unbiased cryptocurrency community.)

If you want to here it or not, most of the initial arguments/goals/features from coin launch 2,5 years are ago didn't hold up/couldnt be realised.
So new ones are needed, if they are not found then LTC is just 1 of 500 Scrypt coins.
A big market cap now doesnt gurantee success, as it is already visible.

While this is already highly off topic, I will post my response.

I personally defend Dogecoin, and have many times. You shouldnt speak ill about the devs or a coin because a few bad apples. We have BTC people that trash LTC, do I think BTC is bad? No!

You should also read more and get updated on what our devs are doing, it isnt just basic infrastructure stuff. They also help the BTC devs, and from what I understand, the latest doge update was based on that work (so you can thank our devs for your coins fixes, you are welcome :) ).

You need to relax, a few people trashing doge doesnt mean we all feel like that. I have a great amount of respect for your community.

It's pretty childish to take what a few individuals may have said to you and then say their comments represent the feelings of a whole community. It's actually pretty childish to think of any of this in terms of one community versus another community in the first place.

On topic: Though I only mine ~10 LTC/month I'm going to start donating 10% of what I earn from mining each month to the dev fund. Should I just donate to this address: LcUP7ZU3Xpk1BUR3qut3dTjC3aK5JoZMYx and then the devs just decide where to allocate it or are there separate addresses for each of the Website and Client Documentation Development Fund, the Litecoin Wallet for Android, and Lietcoin Electrum+secret project? Is there one area that urgently needs funding or is higher priority than the others that I should direct the donations to?

FUNDRAISING IDEA

What about having a donation drive where we encourage people to donate x% of their LTC holdings, just a low single-digit percentage. If you make say a "2% Donation Drive" and it might attract a larger number of smaller donations then from more people who might not donate otherwise. Say maybe someone who holds 100 LTC might not normally considering donating 2 LTC, but when it is put as a percentage, 2% of their holdings seems like a small amount and is actually equal to donating 2 LTC. And then maybe set a realistic goal for the number of total donators, say a goal of 1,000 individual donators (or whatever number seems achievable), and keep track of how close you are to the goal. Even seeing that 200 different people have donated might give extra encourage to people to say "what the hell, it's only x% of my total holdings."

I'm assuming the top comment was to BVB?

Anyways, best to donate to the Website and Client Documentation Development Fund for now. We need help on better documentation for the community.

Thank you for your donations :)

Yes, that's correct. Not sure why I quoted you as well to be honest.

I'll send it off to the documentation fund then, thanks.
