I'm mining since yesterday never stopping the miner, but I did not receive any LTC not even a thousandths.
Is that normal or everything is only a trick ?

I love conspiracies too, however this is real. Its actually like bit torrent. We make this happen yet it must be set up properly. After about 2 to 4 hours you should see transactions coming in your wallet.

You do need to follow every step exactly as I put it. This is not easy for beginners and this is why I made screen captures. If you follow the steps it will work. Read carefully

If you can screen capture what your seeing and post it here along with other info that might help up better understand your problem.

What are you mining with?

This is my litecoin wallet:

This one the p2pool and Scryptminer while running:

And the last is my P2pool graphs and statistics:

I really don't know why I'm earning nothing.

Please read my post here and follow all the steps. It will explain why you haven't earned any coins yet.

Thanks for the detailed instructions.
I have installed everything, but cannot proceed as the Litecoin wallet is still synchronizing.

Still I have a few questions:
- There are 3 places to put User/Pass: the shortcut, the .conf file and the Scryptminer GUI. Everywhere it is stated that it does not matter, though between the lines I read that some of these passes need to have a strong pw? What is true and which PW need to match (whoch locations)?
- The manual mentions nothing about Mining pools. Does this mean that when following the steps as outlined you do not need to sign up with a mining pool and you do not need to enter a mining pool API key?

Thanks!

And another question: are there no 64-bit versions available? Shouldn't these increase the power on 64-bit and multicore processors?

@Carnth

I changed the address in my miner as described in your post ( http://vegas.snicter.com ) and I putted my litecoin address as username.
I started the miner but it found only 1 share in 30 minutes.
I have a doubt. With this new username and url the behavior of the miner is the same if the p2pool program is running or not.
The p2pool program still connect to the old url http://127.0.0.1.

Have I to run the p2pool program or not ?

Note: P2pool pays you directly to your wallet. It automatically enters a receiving address for you if you don't have one already and forwards payments directly to you over time. To put it simply, as the network of peers pass shares to one an other they confirm transactions of payments and that usually requires 120 confirmations. So be patient.

I am wondering about this part:
- so I do not need to enter my wallet address anywhere?
- As long as it is running Litecoins will be sent to my wallet?
- How long would it normally take with my CPU doing 5-24khash/s to see any payout?
- What are the payout thresholds if any?

Thanks!

I'm getting the same problem. I thought I was having problems with my wallet as I was going to upgrade it but I found out that it was already the latest. So even though I saw this post I wanted to wait and see if this was still happening on my computer.

It was working 2 weeks ago but after I got my internet back it seems to have stopped paying me as well.

hey shylar is this happening to you? Anyone else getting this? I have been mining for 6 hours straight now and thats over 13000 shares accepted and nothing came in as payment.

I'm gonna check the rest of the forum for anyone else with this problem.

When p2pool starts loading shares you can see the address is loaded automatically from your wallet. Thats why it needs the full blockchain downloaded and the wallet running. As for the payments not coming in is another story. I seem to be experiencing this as well.

The guide is correct and it did work but as I stated in the previous post after getting my internet back I noticed it as well. I assumed it was my computer but it looks like others are having this problem as well.

I'm not exactly sure what it is so if anyone with more experience on this please jump in.

After 12 hours of mining these are the results:

I'm not an expert but I shouldn't say " ...are good results ".

Thanks, you are correct. It all seems to work and I actually did get paid about 0,01 ltc every 2 hours or so (at 40khash/s), a new address was created in my litecoin wallet and the payments cleared after a few hours.

I do get more errors than normal messages on the run_p2pool.exe terminal window:
- Error binding to worker port: couldn't listen on any:9327
- Error binding to P2P port: couldn't listen on any:9338

I get about 10 of each for every PsPool message. Are there any settings I should change in Scryptminer Gui?

http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/796/schermo6.jpg

I'm not an expert but I shouldn't say " ...are good results ".

I have done some changes on my computer.

1) In my litecoin.conf file I added

rpcport=10333
port=10332

2) I forwarded port 10333 to my computers ip address 192.168.0.102. I forwarded the port because I thought I would get incoming connections and that would solve my problem. Which I am not sure right now because I still have no incoming connections.
NePa you should try this, I'm no expert but sounds like a firewall problem.

3) Now I have been mining on my GPU using cgminer with this
      "url" : "http://127.0.0.1:9327",
      "user" : "username",
      "pass" : "password"

If I try to use port 10333 or 10332 the miner just hangs

4) I removed the user password from the --net litecoin which was added at the end of the p2pool properties target box. I will be updating the op.

I'm new to this as well so we all make mistakes.

Is it working on your computer?  I'm wondering if its something I changed on my end to have it start again.

I changed the file .conf as you suggested:
This is what I typed:

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=10333
port=10332
server=1

My windows firewall has been ever disactivated but as you did I create a new port 10333 and connected it to my IP address.
I deleted also username and password from the p2pool target box properties.
The litecoin wallet failed to start and the p2pool visualized a message of error.
So I deleted that port and I restored .conf file.
As last experiment I transferred whole Scryptminer's directory content to litecoin's directory ( where litecoin Qt file is present ) and I pushed the mining button on the wallet:

http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/3463/schermo7.jpg

! Note the line where the p2pool say " current payout: 0.0000 LTC " !
I believed until this lines is in that way I will not receive any coin.
If everything works well p2pool must return a value in that line. It is a good indication of good system operation.
I visualize the same zero value on the static page http://127.0.0.1:9327/static/.
