Node up time shows for 2.88 minutes.

What hashrate does your miner show?

With my system running at 5500kh I see only a few 100 real shares in a day.

Keep in mind that even though a share is hard to get that it stays in the pool for multiple rounds and keeps paying to your wallet. Give it sometime and you'll start getting shares.

Hey, just curious if all this is set up right

P2Pool stats:

Code: [Select]
Version: 11.2

Pool rate: 178MH/s (17% DOA+orphan) Share difficulty: 0.393

Node uptime: 0.214 days Peers: 7 out, 0 in

Local rate: 3.20kH/s (2.1% DOA) Expected time to share: 147 hours

Shares: 0 total (0 orphaned, 0 dead) Efficiency: ???

Payout if a block were found NOW: 0 LTC to LRCUTjd79hN92rxcswvouYKXUQK5ZTohP5. Expected after mining for 24 hours: 0.000895 LTC per block.

Current block value: 50.4 LTC Expected time to block: 1.03 hours

Also, what's all this "punishing share for stale block" thing I see in the run_p2pool dos thing?

@shyliar: Everything is ok ! I misunderstood a part of the guide. I didn't  understand that p2pool and the miner must be opened and runned togheter. My mistake.
Here a photo of the current situation:

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/7018/schermo2.jpg

And the status:

Version: 11.2

Pool rate: 186MH/s (17% DOA+orphan) Share difficulty: 0.341

Node uptime: 0.010 days Peers: 6 out, 0 in

Local rate: 4.06kH/s (0.49% DOA) Expected time to share: 100 hours

Shares: 0 total (0 orphaned, 0 dead) Efficiency: ???

Payout if a block were found NOW: 0 LTC to LKYdeCKKPcswbXF1Sd8bu6Cp2dXUappSsd. Expected after mining for 24 hours: 0.00109 LTC per block.

Current block value: 50.4 LTC Expected time to block: 0.984 hours

Thank you so much !!!

P.S.

I will earn only few thousandths or less.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. I started out with testing on a CPU and ended up with 12 GPUs. When I was done I thought I had gone a little  over board. I am smiling now though   :D

What is reasonably cheap? With 500$ investment you won't see much of a gain I believe...

Hello,

Can anyone help me?

I followed the instruction here and was receiving partial coins after about a 24hr period.  Then the program crashed and I had to restart it.

Since I had to restart it, I changed my username to my address and my password.  I was using user:password.

I haven't received anything since then.  I've run continuously for 1.85 days at a rate of 10.7kH/s.  Scriptminer gui says I have around 30k
accepted shares and less than 200 rejected.  http://127.0.0.1:9327/static/ says I have Shares: 0 total (0 orphaned, 0 dead) Efficiency: ???.

Can anyone explain why it was working before, but not any longer?

Thank you,

Jeff

Yes I like the 7950 and have 3 MSIs.

Not sure what part of the world your in; but, avoid the 6950s on sell at tigerdirect right now. The VisionTech....defective card.

Hey how much did you pay for the 7950's? Reason why I asked is that I'm looking at one on Tigerdirect for 319.97. I have a 6770 and thats getting me around 200khs.

Sorry for not being here to help with what I could.

Thanks a ton for this guide. I was hitting some kinda mental wall getting Litecoin mining going (that i didn't hit with bitcoin mining!), so this helped a lot.

Mining on my 6-core AMD cpu right now, but I thought i read that i can use the same GPU hardware that i'm currently mining BTC on to mine LTC at the same time?

How would I go about that?

Cgminer has scrypt in it now so you can mine ltc with your gpu. You might want to look into that. I did works well too. Set up was a bit frustrating for me but sounds like your seasoned enough to figure that out.

I could be mistaken however I think you can get that error if your wallet is not running. For p2pool it does require the wallet up and running.

Try to close the wallet p2pool and the miner down and restart it again. See if it happens again. Leave the user:password at the end of the p2pool properties target box unchanged. It does not matter what the user and password is. You can change it in the miner to what ever you want but leave the p2pool properties the same.

Check out step 12 where you copy and paste the information in to the new litecoin.conf file ;)

Hope that helps. If not I think I need a better explanation of the changes you have made.

Hi!
I followed carefully all the steps, but when I try to "Start Mining" in ScryptMiner it shows an error: "Miner failed to start"
Could you please tell me what am I doing wrong?

Make sure your minerd.exe program is in the same folder as your scryptminer.exe. They work together.
