I was thinking of making my own P2Pool implementation based on Microsoft's Peer Name Resolution Protocol (PNRP).  Still trying to get my head wrapped around how to interpret GetBlockTemplate.

Can I ask a question here ?
I have a new MAT mining Asic and i want to solo mine into my own p2pool.
I am using Ubuntu linux.
I have set up litecoind and it is synchronised with the blockchain
I have run ...  :
python Run-p2pool.py --net litecoin
.. and I seem to get something that looks like the real thing.
Now,
Do I now point my miner at HTTP:// 127.0.0.1 ; 9327 with my address Lxxuwieuhwhrw9hr....etc   ???
When I look there, it appears to be somebody else's wallet, and not mine.

Does that mean that I mine into 127.0.0.1:9327 and they pay me out into my wallet number  that  I give in my programming ?

I thought that my PC would act as a P2pool node, and that I would forward my own IP address from my miner.

Am i missing something fundamental here ???

Any thoughts and help greatly appreciated.

If you are having problems setting up your own node, you can use our very low latency public nodes (hosted in NY, USA) here:

or
