I downloaded the new wallet and it works really well. As a noob though, might I ask that since it is peer to peer, what are the memory/data implications of this app. I don't think for a moment that it downloads the whole block chain but how much data does it use?

Thanks

Be careful.  Uninstalling the old version without exporting a backup of your data can mean you lose your wallet!

How does the Android Litecoin Wallet handle change addresses? Is change from a transaction sent back to the normal wallet address, or are hidden change addresses used?

EDIT : I reviewed a transaction I made with the app and I see that change is sent back to the original wallet address. I happen to like it that way, please don't change it.  :)

If you can make this happen again, please go back into the new app and see if it asks you to submit a bug report.  Submit it and we might be able to fix whatever the issue is.  Alternatively, you can just go into the new app, go to backup, import and select the exported keys file and it should import fine.  Do that rather than going through the old app.

It's what's known as an SPV wallet

This way, you don't have to mirror the entire blockchain.

Just released 3.29.4 into production.  This should fix the crashes we're seeing when initializing peer groups.

Hank,

The Play page should give a ballpark number:

Installs
1,000 - 5,000

As the developer, I have access to the current "real" number of installs (1,551 as of yesterday).

Just uploaded 3.30.1 into Beta.  If you're a Beta Tester (see previous posts in this thread for details) you'll have access to it as soon as it's available.  Feel free to try it out.  It includes the latest changes from upstream (Bitcoin Wallet).
